Major players in the banking sector are realising that flexible, off-the-shelf cloud solutions are the future, Geneste observes. “For large banks to develop solutions like ours themselves, they’d need hundreds of tech experts. We can do it better, allowing them to respond faster to shifting customer requirements.”

Tarekegn O’Gorman gives the example of taxi companies that support drivers with vehicle loans, credit card payments, and other financial services. “We provide turnkey-style solutions, in partnership with third parties. Our SaaS cloud-native platform makes it easier for smaller firms to bring financing products to market rapidly, without the need for in-house developers to create these products.”
New10 and Bridge Fund
One rapidly evolving sector is SME financing, where retail banks are withdrawing due to low margins and compliance requirements. “This opens up opportunities for other players, like BridgeFund,” says Tarekegn O’Gorman.
BridgeFund bridges the gap between lenders and SMEs, connecting entrepreneurs with capital providers in exchange for interest. “They needed a flexible solution that would allow rapid innovation and market entry. BridgeFund wanted to add extra flexibility to their in-house financing solution but struggled with the burden of maintaining their own product, leaving limited time for innovation. They needed to expand their offerings and explore new markets. With our support, they went live in just six months with significant success.”
Another example is New10, a business lender that has been a Mambu client since 2017. “New10 sought the ability to provide entrepreneurs with an offer within 15 minutes. We built this for them, allowing for online approvals of financing requests up to €250,000. The tool went live in less than four months.” The results since launch have been impressive: within six months, over 2,000 loans were granted. Tarekegn O’Gorman concludes, “We provide customer-centric experiences with personalised, seamless online services. That’s why we’re so successful.”
